Iconic Funds Holds a Private Workshop for Members of the Gibraltar Fund & Investment Association

Iconic Funds has successfully led many complimentary, in-house workshops for family offices and financial institutions who are ready to learn more about blockchain and the crypto asset ecosystem.

In response to Covid-19, Iconic launched the online version of the educational workshops, entitled “Before Investing in Crypto”.

On 15th May 2020, Iconic conducted a free 2-hour online workshop and Q&A session for members of the Gibraltar Fund & Investment Association. The workshop aimed to explain blockchain and its use cases, the value drivers of today’s crypto assets, and how financial instruments are becoming crypto assets. Further topics of the presentation covered tokenization use cases and, most importantly, the impact of a crypto asset allocation on various portfolio types.

The workshop was led by Iconic Funds CEO and Managing Partner, Patrick Lowry, and Iconic Holding Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Maximilian Lautenschläger.

There was a great turnout to the online event and the content was very well received by the GFIA members, with survey results showing attendees were either Very Satisfied or Satisfied with the content. The content proved to be eye-opening to the audience, as it covered the basics and more advanced material, including the various use cases for blockchain technology beyond the financial industry. The ‘insight into test cases’ and the ‘impact of a crypto allocation in a portfolio’ were cited as particularly valuable parts of the presentation by attendees.

Derek Baglietto, Member of the Executive Committee, GFIA said: “I really enjoyed the presentation. I would strongly recommend this workshop to anyone.”

Other comments included:
Executive Member, GFIA: ” Excellent seminar today. Really great speakers. Hearing other use cases for blockchain which are more than the finance sphere is really useful”
